Advanced Navigation Algorithms based on Graph Optimization

Overview
The main objective of this project is to investigate innovative navigation algorithms exploiting Factor Graph Optimization (FGO), both for a standalone GNSS unit and in combination with other sensors (IMU), and for different receiver grades (including high- and low-quality modules).

The need
Precise localization in real time in urban canyon situations still poses practical and theoretical challenges. How to combine GNSS with IMU to get fast, real time and reliable data.
